Beeville ISD Names Candelario J. Rivera Assistant Athletic Director and Head Football Coach

Beeville Independent School District is pleased to announce that the Board of Trustees has unanimously approved the nomination of Candelario J. Rivera as the new Assistant Athletic Director and Head Football Coach for Beeville ISD.


Candelario J. Rivera is married to Jaclyn Rivera, who is also an educator. He has two children: Kiersten, a teacher, and Kennedy, a junior at A&M Kingsville who serves on the stunt team and the cheer team. Rivera is the grandfather of Lucas, age three. He was raised in Edinburg, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley, and has over 20 years of coaching experience in South Texas, East Texas, and the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Most recently, he served in Sinton, Texas as offensive coordinator, strength and conditioning coordinator, and head coach for boys' and girls' powerlifting.


Rivera stated, “I look forward to building a program based on strong values, and I hope to bring new excitement and pride to the Beeville community. I’m honored to represent Beeville with class and dignity.”


Following the announcement, board President Orlando Vasquez stated, “The community requested a leader from a successful program, someone with strong character who would instill discipline, and we have achieved that. I am confident in our selection and anticipate positive developments in the coming years.”
