Senate Bill 13, passed during the recent 89th Texas Legislative Session, sets new regulations for public school libraries. This page aims to enhance parent access to student borrowing records, increase catalog transparency, and provide more opportunities for community involvement in library collection decisions; it aims to provide criteria for the selection, acquisition, removal, and replacement of library materials, focused on maximizing transparency with parents and community members while meeting student needs to provide enriched learning experiences with appropriate materials.
