Jose “Joe” Garza

District-Wide IT Technician | Information Technology Professional

My name is Jose Garza, but everyone calls me “Joe.” I am from a small rural community in South Texas, and I have developed a strong passion for technology and helping others through IT.

I currently serve as an District IT Technician here at Beeville Independent School District, where I provide technology support across the district. During my 2.5 years with Beeville ISD, I have gained valuable hands-on experience supporting a wide range of technology needs while continuing to expand my technical knowledge and skills. Throughout my time with the district, I have also earned several professional certifications and continued to grow as an IT professional.

I have approximately 5 years of experience in the IT Technology field, with a background that includes technical support, networking, cybersecurity, and troubleshooting. My experience has allowed me to work with technologies and concepts such as LANs, TCP/IP, DHCP, VPNs, and public and private networks. I enjoy troubleshooting technical problems, finding solutions, and learning how different technologies work together.

I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Along with my education and professional experience, I have earned certifications related to cybersecurity and CompTIA A+, as well as certifications in Mental Health and Awareness. I believe these areas are especially valuable in a school environment, where technology plays an important role in supporting students, teachers, staff, and the community.
