Beeville ISD Announces Lone Finalist for the Superintendent Search
The Beeville Independent School District Board of Trustees has named Dr. Franklin Cahuasqui as the lone finalist for the position of Superintendent of Schools.
The Board acted during its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
The selection follows a superintendent search process that included opportunities for input from Beeville ISD families, staff, students, and community members. The Board retained Schools One Stop Shop LLC to assist with the search process, including community engagement, recruitment, application review support, candidate communication, and the Board’s selection process.
Dr. Cahuasqui brings extensive experience in Texas public education, having served students and school communities as a bilingual teacher, assistant principal, principal, principal supervisor, and district-level administrator. His leadership experience spans early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school campuses.
Dr. Cahuasqui served as KIPP Texas Public Schools Houston Deputy Regional Superintendent, overseeing 10 secondary and high schools from 2024 to 2026. He also served as Deputy Superintendent of Instructional and Administrative Support for Channelview ISD from 2022 to 2024, where his responsibilities included supporting district and campus leadership, instructional programs, and administrative operations.
Prior to joining Channelview ISD and KIPP Texas Public Schools, Dr. Cahuasqui served in Houston ISD in a variety of instructional and administrative leadership positions. His experience includes working directly with principals and campus leadership teams and supporting college, career, and military readiness initiatives. During his earlier district leadership work, he helped develop systems for monitoring CCMR performance, including industry-based certifications and other measures of postsecondary readiness.
Dr. Cahuasqui earned his Doctor of Education in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University in 2021. His doctoral work focused on the reading and English achievement of English language learners in bilingual education programs.
The Board’s selection of a lone finalist represents the next step in the superintendent hiring process. Under Texas law, public notice of a superintendent finalist must be provided at least 21 days before the Board may take final action or vote on the individual’s employment.
During this period, Beeville ISD will continue preparations for the leadership transition while the Board completes the remaining steps required in the superintendent selection process.
